Kinisiotape is an elastic tape that can be worn for multiple days after application, approximates to the skin and has the ability to stretch between 40 and 60% of its resting length just as the skin is able to stretch to these proportions. The tape can be used in any phase of injury and can be used as an intervention for increasing lymphatic drainage, facilitating or inhibiting muscle activity, providing ligament and tendon support and functional correction.
